HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The women's tennis team began their spring break tournament campaign Monday evening, falling 1-4 to Messiah.

How it Happened:
Greenville fell behind early after dropping all three doubles matches, giving their opponent the 1-0 lead heading into singles play.

In singles action, the Panthers battled across the lineup but were only able to secure one point. Senior
Lanie Carder earned Greenville's lone victory on Court No. 1, rallying for a 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) win in a match tiebreak.

No. 5 and No. 6 singles were left unfinished due to darkness.
