Box Score 2 HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The women's tennis team battled in two spring break matches Tuesday against Gordon and LeTourneau. They split the two matches, defeating Gordon 6-1 before falling to LeTourneau 2-5.

Greenville opened the day against Gordon, sweeping doubles to secure the doubles point 1-0.
Lanie Carder and
Lily Gregory showed grit on court No. 1, winning their contest 7-5.

Greenville carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of the six courts to seal the match.

On court No. 1
Lanie Carder earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory, while
Emily Kowalke secured a hard-fought 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) win on Court No. 2.
Lily Gregory added another point for the Panthers with a 7-5, 6-2 result on court No. 3.

Greenville also received wins from
Elena Warren who posted a 6-4, 7-5 victory on Court No. 5, and
Lauren Brannon, who closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win on court No. 6.

Later in the day, Greenville fell 5-2 to LeTourneau in their second match of the day.

LeTourneau claimed the early advantage by winning two of the three doubles matches to secure the doubles point.
Elena Warren and
Lauren Brannon picked up Greenville's lone doubles victory with a 7-6 (7-5) win on court No. 3.

In singles play, LeTourneau secured the match by winning the top four courts. Junior Evie Johnson earned a point for the Panthers on court No. 5, posting a 6-1, 6-2 victory, while
Lauren Brannon added another Greenville point with a walkover win on court No. 6.
