WILLMORE, Ky. - The men's track and field team placed sixth at the NCCAA National Championships with 56 points and multiple podium finishes.
How it Happened:
The Panthers had an impressive showing on the track, collecting four top-three performances. Ty Kellum kicked it off in the 100m dash, taking second with a time of 10.54, while
Jamarion Cobbins took third in the 400m hurdles (1:56.02).
The relay teams showed out with the 4x100 squad (Gibson, Andino, Baldwin, and Kellum) placing second with a 41.59 and the 4x400 team (Fenton, Andino, Wilcoxen, and Morrow) taking third with a time of 3:20.12. The 4x800 team also tacked on points with a seventh-place finish (8:28.93).
Neko Gibson added points in the 200m with his fourth-place outing (22.01), while
Noel Andino took fifth in the 400m (49.42).
Mason Clayton finished in seventh in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:24.49.
In the field events, Christian Duplayee led the Panthers with a fourth-place showing in the pole vault, vaulting an impressive 4.15m. In the triple jump,
Jason Stringfellow jumped 12.72m for sixth, and Tim Lofton took seventh in the long jump with a 6.49m leap. Closing it out,
Wyatt Case took eighth in the javelin with a 48.64m throw.
