GREENVILLE, Ill. - On Saturday, the Panthers delivered outstanding performances at their own Greenville Select home meet, dominating the field with multiple top-four finishes.
How it Happened:
In the field events, freshman
Keenan Powell continued his dominance in the jumps, taking third in the long jump and first in the triple jump. The duo of
Wyatt Case and
Wyatt Isaacson were also impressive, finishing second and third in the men's javelin.
Moving to the track, there were several standout performances. The 4x1 relay team of
Neko Gibson,
Gavin Baldwin, Ty Kellum, and Collin Robison ran a phenomenal race to secure first place.
Freshman Ty Kellum also took first in the 100m dash with a blazing time of 10.66, while senior Noel Adino won the 400m dash in 49.43.
Jaylin Morrow followed closely behind his teammate, placing second in the 400m with another strong time of 50.44.
Mason Clayton also earned a second-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase.
The highlight of the day came in the 400m hurdles, where junior
Ben Hornaday ran an incredible time of 56.23, earning a lifetime personal best. It was a performance you had to see to believe.
