TERRE HAUTE, Ind. & CANTON, Mo. - Over the weekend, the Panthers split the team, sending athletes to compete at the Culver-Stockton College Invite and the Indiana State Gibson Invitational. Greenville put together a series of strong performances across both field and track events at both sites.
How it Happened:
At Culver Stockton,Â
Eric Mitchell led the way in the field events with a 7th-place finish in the shot put. The triple jump group also had a solid showing, with
Leonard Bratton finishing 5th and
Jason Stringfellow close behind in 6th place.
On the track, Chris Brandy gave an impressive performance in the 3000m steeplechase, earning a 4th-place finish.
Ashton James also competed well in the 400m dash, crossing the line with a time of 52.69.
At Indiana State, Ty Kellum led the way on the track with an impressive showing in the 100m dash, earning a 2nd-place finish with a time of 10.39. Noel Adino also had a solid performance in the 400m, crossing the line in 49.06.
The 4x1 relay team of Ty Kellum, Neko Gibson, Gavin Baldwin, and Collin Robinson worked together for a strong race, finishing 6th overall with a time of 42.08.
In the field events, Keenan Powell added to the team's success with a 5th-place finish in the triple jump.
The Panthers showcased a great effort as they continue to compete at a high level and improve each week.Â
