JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Panthers traveled to compete at Illinois College and dominated the field! The men's team left with multiple victories and some amazing performances!
How it Happened:
The Panthers had three 3rd-place finishes, seven 2nd-place finishes, and six 1st-place finishes. Placing third in their events were Tim Lofton in the long jump,
Ahmadjae Fenton in the 400m dash, and
Kyle Cooley in the 3000m steeplechase.
The second-place finishes came from
Wyatt Isaacson in the men's javelin,
Mason Clayton in the 3000m steeplechase,
Will Cress in high jump, Jas Stringfellow in triple jump, the 4x1 team of
Gavin Baldwin,
Neko Gibson, Ty Kellum, and
Collin Robinson,
Jamarion Cobbins in the 400m hurdles, and
Neko Gibson in the 100m dash with a blazing time of 10.41 seconds, placing him 3rd in Division III.
Coming out on top, securing first-place finishes, were Christian Duplayee in the men's pole vault,
Keenan Powell in the triple jump,
Jaylin Morrow in the 400m dash with a time of 50.26 seconds, and
Ben Hornaday in the 400m hurdles.
Finishing with a double crown was FreshmanTy Kellum in the 200m dash with a time of 21.34 and the 100m dash with a time of 10.28, placing him #1 in Division III.
