GREENVILLE, Ill. - The track and field program is headed to the NCAA Division III Championships in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Four Panthers have officially punched their ticket to represent Greenville on the national stage.
Rebekkah Yunck will be competing in the javelin after her qualifying throw of 41.69m at the NCCAA Championship, coming in at 22nd nationally.
Keenan Powell will showcase his talent in the triple jump, qualifying at the SLIAC Championship meet with a jump of 15.00m flat and ranking 9th nationally.
Ty Kellum and
Neko Gibson will both race in the 100m dash to try to earn a podium finish. Kellum earned a 5th-place ranking after the IC Thursday Throwdown (10.28s), while Gibson ranked 16th after the same meet, running a 10.41s.
Kellum and Gibson will be the first Panthers to compete, racing at 5:35 p.m. on Friday, while Powell (11:00 a.m.) and Yunck (2:00 p.m.) will compete on Saturday.
