Box Score 3 GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's tennis team dominated the UMAC this week, going 3-0 throughout the week with two conference wins.
How it Happened:
The Panthers started the week strong with a 4-0 victory over Westminster. Only playing four singles matches, Greenville picked up dominant one-set wins in all four.
On Thursday, Greenville delivered a powerful performance against Webster, sweeping both doubles and singles in convincing fashion to take the 7-0 victory.
The doubles point was secured early with decisive wins, including a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles and a dominant 6-0 performance at No. 3.
In singles, Greenville continued to control the match from top to bottom. Jean Sanabria led the way with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1, while Colton Hulme followed with a solid 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2. Jade Dynamic added another win at No. 3 with an impressive 6-0, 6-0 result.
Greenville maintained momentum on the bottom three courts, highlighted by Kai Gustafson's 6-0, 6-0 win to complete the team sweep.
On Friday, the Panthers battled through a series of tight three-set matches, coming out on top with a 5-2 victory over Millikin.
In doubles play, Greenville clinched the doubles point with wins on Courts No. 2 and No. 3, after a loss on Court No. 1. Noah Garcia Barlagne and Gustafson earned a 6-3 win on Court No. 3 to put the Panthers up 1-0.
Singles play featured a strong win from Garcia Barlagne on Court No. 4, 6-4, 6-1 to give Greenville the early momentum. Sanabria showed fight on Court No. 1 earning a 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8) victory. Hulme clinched the team win on Court No. 3 with a three-set win of his own, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6). Gustafson topped off the match with 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) win on Court No. 6 to complete the 5-2 team victory.
