CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Greenville men's track and field team turned in an outstanding performance at the NCCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, placing fourth overall with 66.33 points and stacking up podium finishes across the board.
How it Happened:
Greenville's jumpers powered the Panthers' surge, led by a championship effort from
Keenan Powell in the triple jump. Powell claimed the national title with a winning mark of 14.96m, while
Leonard Bratton added another major scoring performance by taking third at 14.28m.
Todd Gabe also delivered in the horizontal jumps, finishing fifth in the long jump (6.51m), with Powell adding a seventh-place mark of 6.46m.
On the track, Greenville's distance group made a statement in the 4000 DMR. The team of
Will Patzia,
Noel Andino,
Luis Zavala, and
Kaden Einhorn raced to a runner-up finish in 10:37.97. Patzia also earned an individual podium, placing third in the 800m at 1:58.39, while Einhorn finished fourth in the 3000m (8:46.59).
The Panthers' relay squads added crucial points, taking third in the 4x200 (1:31.22), fourth in the 4x800 (8:18.03), and fourth in the 4x400 (3:26.85).
Ty Kellum placed fourth in the 60m dash (6.88), helping Greenville cap a balanced, high-scoring weekend.
