JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The women's track and field team traveled to compete at Illinois College and left with multiple victories and some outstanding performances.
How it Happened:
The ladies finished with two 3rd-place finishes, five 2nd-place finishes, and one 1st-place victory.
Madison Kacevicius had an outstanding meet, placing third in the 100m hurdles and then taking second in the long jump, while also contributing to the second-place finish of the women's 4x1 team alongside Abby Weishaar,
Jada Richards, and
Lera Schmeink.
Also placing second in their events were
Jada Richards in the triple jump and Natalie Roth in the women's 800m run with a time of 2:30.15.
Taking two spots in the 400m hurdles were
Sara Avalos, placed third, and
Trinity Wade, taking second.
Taking the crown at this meet was freshman
Rebekkah Yunck in the women's javelin.
