ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's track and field team faced some tough competition this past weekend at the WashU Invite as they kicked off their outdoor season. Despite the high level of talent across the field, the Panthers pulled out several outstanding performances.

Freshman Abby Weishaar put together a strong performance, placing 16th in both the 100m and 200m with impressive times of 12.81 and 26.37. She also contributed to the women's 4x100 relay, teaming up with
Shakirah Humphrey,
Madison Kacevicius, and
Lera Schmeink to secure a 9th-place finish.

There were also some great races on the distance side.
Norah Atkins delivered a solid 800m performance, finishing 14th overall.
Highlighting the field events,
Rebekkah Yunck led the way by bringing home a victory in the javelin with an outstanding throw of 38.27m.

Overall, it was another strong showing with contributions across multiple events, setting a great foundation as the season gets underway.
