ELSAH, Ill. – The Greenville women's track and field team delivered a commanding performance at the SLIAC Indoor Championships, capturing the conference title with 202.50 points to secure first place overall.
How it Happened:
The Panthers dominated on the track, highlighted by multiple individual champions.
Norah Atkins claimed titles in both the mile (5:29.99) and the 800m (2:27.96), while Abby Weishaar won the 400m in 1:01.69.
Madison Kacevicius soared to gold in the 60m hurdles (9.74s) and added runner-up finishes in the long jump (5.26m) and a fourth-place mark in the triple jump.
Alivia Clayton earned the 3000m championship in 11:25.18. Greenville's relay teams also shined, winning both the distance medley relay (14:25.16) and the 4x400 relay (4:19.02).
In the sprints,
Jada Richards placed second in the 60m dash and fourth in the 200m, while strong field performances from
Katie Farrow (2nd, pole vault) and
Arielle Lawrence (4th, weight throw) added crucial points.
With depth, versatility, and championship poise, the Panthers capped the indoor season as conference champions.
