GREENVILLE, Ill. – Greenville men's golf battled through a deep and competitive field at the Blueboy Invite, held at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Ill. Despite finishing 14th as a team, the Panthers showed resilience and steady improvement across the two-day event.
How it Happened:
Greenville posted a two-round total of 765, highlighted by a stronger first-day performance. The Panthers came out hot, posting a 378 for the first round, and adding a few strokes in the second (387).Â
Individually, Greenville golfers turned in some gritty performances.
Ryan Jackson led the pack with a total score of 177, golfing a low 86 in the first round.
John Heater V followed close behind with a 187, whileÂ
Carlos Ziesecke (201),
Sam Molitor (204), and
Sebastian Galanton (205) rounded out the scoring for GU.Â
Competing on a par-72, 6,630-yard layout, Greenville gained valuable experience against high-level competition. The Panthers will look to build on that momentum as they prepare for upcoming meets.
