JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Greenville women's track and field turned in a strong showing Saturday at the 2026 Jim Green Invite hosted by Illinois College, collecting the pole vault title.
How it Happened:
The Panthers were led by a championship performance from
Katie Farrow, who won the pole vault with a top clearance of 3.35 meters.
Greenville also picked up multiple podium finishes on the track, highlighted by Abby Weishaar placing second in the 400m dash (1:01.99) and Gabby Weishaar finishing right behind in third (1:02.70).
Jazmyn Harmon added another top-10 finish in the 400, taking eighth in 1:03.63.
In the jumps,
Jada Richards placed fourth in the triple jump (10.43m) and
Madison Kacevicius followed in eighth (9.89m). Harmon added a fifth-place finish in the long jump (5.08m).
Richards and Kacevicius also excelled in other events with Richards placing sixth in the 60m (8.17s) and Kacevicius taking fifth in the 60m hurdles (10.10s).
Norah Atkins and
Alivia Clayton highlighted GU's strength in the mile and 800m. Clayton ran a 5:41.53 mile for seventh, while Atkins ran a 2:27.59 in the 800m for sixth.
Greenville capped the meet with a runner-up finish in the 4x400 relay, clocking 4:13.82.
