ELSAH, Ill. - Greenville women's track and field turned in a strong all-around showing at the Principia Relays this weekend, highlighted by a relay victory and multiple podium finishes.
How it Happened:
The Panthers' "A" team captured first place in the 4x200 relay with a winning time of 1:48.63, setting the tone for a productive meet.
Greenville also impressed in the distance medley, with the "B" team finishing second in 13:28.30 and the "A" team close behind in third at 13:32.59, showcasing the program's depth.
In field events,
Katie Farrow delivered a standout performance by placing second in the pole vault at 3.02 meters, while
Sara Avalos added a fourth-place finish.
Greenville claimed three top-10 spots in the long jump behind
Jada Richards (7th),
Madison Kacevicius (8th), and
Lera Schmeink (9th).
On the track, Abby Weishaar placed third in the 200 meters,
Jazmyn Harmon recorded top-six finishes in both the triple jump and 300 meters, and Greenville added solid results in the 4x800 relay.
