COLOMBUS, Ohio. – The men's gymnastics team traveled to Ohio State for a quad meet that also included Michigan and Illinois. The Panthers placed third overall, defeating Illinois with a team score of 307.450.
How it Happened:
The team opened the meet with an impressive 53.400 on the vault, the Panthers' highest event score of the day. Parallel bars followed, led by junior
Jaxon Clapper's 13.9, earning him a first-place finish on the event.
High bar concluded the first half of the meet where the Panthers recorded a 48.600. Senior
Donovan Diviney anchored the lineup with a 13.300. The team hit a solid 50.250 on floor highlighted by Clapper's 14.050, the highest floor score on the meet.
Greenville rebounded from last week's struggles on pommel horse with a 52.450, led by Andres Esquivel-Garcia's 13.500. The meet wrapped up on rings, where the team scored a 50.950, highlighted by
Ethan Poole's 13.050.
