WEST POINT, N.Y. – The men's gymnastics team traveled to face Army and Springfield in a tri-meet Saturday, finishing second with a season-high team score of 314.350.
How It Happened:
Greenville got off to a steady start on the pommel horse, posting a team score of 51.150. Junior
Matthew Roth led the Panthers with a 13.800, earning a second-place finish on the event.
The Panthers continued that momentum on still rings and floor exercise, recording team scores of 54.150 and 52.000, respectively.
On the parallel bars, Greenville scored a 53.300, led by junior
Jaxon Clapper, who posted a 13.950 to earn a first-place finish on the event.
After a solid performance on high bar (48.950), Greenville finished the meet strong on vault, posting a team score of 54.800. Junior
Logan Watterson delivered the top performance on the event, winning vault with a 14.300.
Sophomore
Kyler Hinson's impressive performance earned him the all-around title. (76.600)
Up Next:
Greenville will travel to compete at Air Force on March 21 for the USAG Collegiate Nationals.
