ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The men's gymnastics team opened their season at the University of Michigan in a tri meet against Simpson. The Panthers showcased significant potential, finishing second with a team score of 305.200, just over three points behind reigning NCAA national champion Michigan.

Greenville delivered an outstanding performance on the parallel bars, posting a team score of 52.200 to claim the event title. Junior
Jaxon Clapper led the way by winning the individual title with a score of 13.600.

The Panthers' highest-scoring event of the day came on vault, where they recorded a 53.300. Â Clapper also took first on this event with an impressive 14.15.

Other individual highlights included sophomore
Kyler Hinson taking 2nd on floor, junior
Andres Esquivel-Garza finishing 2nd on pommel horse, and a pair of seniors
Donovan Diviney and
Jacob Foster taking 2nd and 3rd respectively, on high bar.
