EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The men's cross country team opened its season with a 5k at WashU on Saturday, placing fifth with Kaiden Einhorn at the lead. The Panthers ran against some tough competition but posted some strong times for the start of the season.
How it Happened:
Einhorn placed 23rd with a 16:18.9, while
Mason Clayton and
Luis Zavala followed at 41st and 42nd place, respectively. Clayton posted a 17:21.9 and Zavala ran a 17:24.9.
Will Patzia was close behind with a 17:44.4.
Claiming a time of 18:21.4,
Kyle Cooley landed in 52nd with
Chris Bandy just seconds behind at 18:33.7.
