The Panthers claim the All-Sports Trophy once again

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Greenville becomes just the second institution in SLIAC history to repeat as the All-Sports Champion. The Panthers won the school's first-ever title last year, becoming just the fifth different school to win the award since it was first handed out in 1999.

This year, GU finished with an average score of 9.15 over its thirteen conference sports. The Panthers had first-place finishes in eleven sports, totaling 119 points.

The Panthers dominated in the fall, taking five league titles. Men's and Women's Cross Country, Men's and Women's Soccer, and Women's Volleyball claimed the top spot. Women's Soccer and Volleyball also made a run in the SLIAC tournament, winning that and advancing to the NCAA tournament.

Men's Basketball represented in the winter with another first-place finish. Coach Barber and his team claimed the conference tournament title for only the second time in school history and went to the Big Dance.

Track and Field picked up four conference championships, two in indoor and two in outdoor. Both the men's and women's teams had athletes represent GU at the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships.

Lastly, Softball took the top spot in the conference for the first time in school history! They went on to repeat as tournament champions and claimed a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

The Panthers continue to excel in the SLIAC and look to expand their success even further.
