FILLMORE, Ill. – The Greenville men's golf team turned in a solid performance at Indian Springs Golf Course on Wednesday, battling Blackburn in a competitive dual match. While the Panthers came up just short, finishing with a team score of 334 against Blackburn's 324, Greenville's lineup displayed both balance and promise for the season ahead.
How it Happened:
Leading the charge were
Aden Bass and John Heater, who each carded matching rounds of 81 to anchor the Panthers.
Jack Workman followed with a steady 85, while
Ryan Jackson rounded out the team scoring with a strong 87.
Blake Mueller (98),
Cole Casburn (106), and
Ian Lohr (119) all got time on the course as well.
Though Greenville couldn't overcome Blackburn's top four, the Panthers showed depth and resilience with contributions throughout their roster.
The Panthers now sit at 1-1.
