DECATUR, Ill. – The Greenville University women's soccer team continued non-conference play Saturday afternoon, falling to Millikin University 8-0 at Frank M. Lindsay Field.
The Big Blue struck early, finding the back of the net in the third minute before adding three more goals in a four-minute stretch late in the first half to take a 4-0 advantage into the break. Millikin added four second-half goals to secure the victory.
Despite the result, Greenville generated several quality scoring opportunities. The Panthers recorded five shots, all of which were on target.

Brady Unger, and
Elizabeth Altenbernd each registered a shot on goal for Greenville.
The Panthers utilized three goalkeepers during the contest. Freshman
Kadynce Jones made two saves in the opening 24 minutes, while
Maddie Wall recorded two saves in more than 42 minutes of action.
Natalie McCullough came on in the second half and turned away four shots, helping Greenville finish with eight total saves.
Millikin held a 23-5 advantage in total shots and a 9-0 edge in corner kicks. Hannah Ramsey led the Big Blue attack with two goals and one assist, while Millikin received goals from eight different players throughout the match.
Greenville moves to 0-7 on the season and will Monmouth on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
