PEORIA, Ill. - The Greenville University women's cross country team turned in a solid performance on Friday, finishing sixth in the team standings with 159 points. The Panthers showcased impressive pack running, posting a top-five average time of 20:16 and a tight 2:35 spread among their scoring runners.

Sophomore Alexis Martinez led the way for Greenville, crossing the finish line in 19:14.2 to place 21st overall. Junior Alivia Clayton followed with a strong effort, finishing 35th in 19:43.7.

The Panthers continued to pack runners together throughout the race, with sophomore Lydia Cahill placing 45th in 20:14.1 and junior Natali Roth close behind in 46th with a time of 20:18.7. Sophomore Lola Schlarmann rounded out Greenville's scoring five, finishing 58th in 21:48.5.

Senior Raven Vance (22:16.4) and sophomore Katelyn Vogler (22:50.1) completed the Panthers' top seven, helping Greenville record a top-seven average time of 20:56.

Additional Panther finishers included freshman Morgan Sturges (22:59.2), sophomore Lauren Haacke (23:03.1), sophomore Evie Johnson (23:32.3), freshman Morgan Hart (24:35.1), and senior Savanna Hulbert (29:55.0).

Greenville's depth and consistency were evident throughout the race, as four runners finished among the top 50 competitors and the Panthers placed five runners in the top 60.

The strong team effort provides momentum as Greenville continues its season at Augustana on Oct. 3.
