LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Softball split a SLIAC conference doubleheader with Spalding on Saturday, bouncing back in dominant fashion after a tough opener.

The Panthers struggled to find momentum in game one, falling 9-1. Greenville managed four hits, highlighted by
Rylee Bloomer's two-hit performance and
Emma Longcor's RBI single. Despite the setback, the Panthers showed flashes offensively, but defensive miscues proved costly as Spalding capitalized to pull away.
Greenville responded determinedly in game two, erupting for a 14-3 victory behind an explosive 22-hit performance. The Panthers wasted no time setting the tone, scoring multiple runs in four different innings.
Anna Cox led the charge with a huge game at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBIs, including a key bases-clearing single. Bloomer continued her standout performance, tallying four hits and four runs scored, while Longcor and
Makenna Budde each added three-plus hits.
