TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Greenville softball showcased both resilience and offensive firepower in a dominant doubleheader sweep over Rose-Hulman on Saturday, improving to 13-3 on the season.
How it Happened:
In game one, the Panthers overcame an early 6-0 deficit with an explosive response. Greenville erupted for six runs in the fourth inning, highlighted by key extra-base hits from
Kelsey Martlage and
Brooklyn Garrett.
Emma Williams led the offense with three hits, while Martlage added a home run and three RBIs. In the circle,
Lauren Kehl delivered a strong relief performance, tossing 4.1 shutout innings to secure the 11-9 comeback victory.
Greenville carried that momentum into game two, dominating from the start in a 13-3 win. The Panthers piled up 16 hits, with contributions throughout the lineup. Garrett and
Anna Cox each homered, while
Ashlyn Colvis and Martlage drove in multiple runs.
Emma Williams continued her standout day, scoring three times.
Kayla Kocher earned the win in the circle, allowing just three runs over five innings while keeping Rose-Hulman in check.
Across both games, Greenville's balanced attack and timely hitting proved decisive, as the Panthers combined for 24 runs and showed their ability to both rally and control games from the outset.
