ADRIAN, Mich. - The men's volleyball team battled through a tightly contested five-set match Tuesday night before falling to Adrian, 3–2, in nonconference men's volleyball action at the Merillat Center.
How it Happened:
The Panthers showed resilience throughout the match, opening with a 25–23 win in the first set before reclaiming momentum with a strong 25–22 victory in the third.
Greenville's offense was led by Tyrone Ealy, who delivered a match-high 20 kills while adding 12 digs. Carson Hulsey contributed 10 kills and Cortez Christmas added nine as the Panthers totaled 54 kills on the night.
Kevin McGhee Jr. orchestrated the Greenville offense with an impressive 47 assists while also recording 14 digs. Defensively, Sam Molitor led the Panthers with 15 digs, helping Greenville stay competitive in several extended rallies.
At the net, Andrew Weir paced the Panthers with three blocks as Greenville finished with five team blocks.
Despite the narrow loss in the decisive fifth set, Greenville demonstrated strong offensive balance and defensive effort while pushing Adrian to the limit in a hard-fought matchup.
