Men's volleyball has dominant home win over Rockford

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Greenville men's volleyball team delivered a dominant performance Tuesday night, sweeping Rockford in straight sets (25-17, 25-18, 25-15) inside H.J. Long Gymnasium. The Panthers improve to 3-5 on the season with the convincing home victory.

How it Happened:

Greenville controlled the match from start to finish, hitting an impressive .404 as a team. Tyrone Ealy led the offensive charge with 13 kills on a .435 hitting percentage, while Cortez Christmas added nine kills (.533) and five total blocks.

Carson Hulsey contributed seven kills and four service aces to keep Rockford on its heels.

The Panthers' balanced attack was guided by 39 assists, with John Heater V and Kevin McGhee Jr. directing the offense efficiently.

Defensively, Greenville matched Rockford with 33 digs and added nine total blocks to limit scoring opportunities.

After building momentum in the first two sets, the Panthers closed strong in the third, hitting .440 to seal the sweep. Greenville's efficient offense and steady defense highlighted a complete team effort on their home court.
