GREENVILLE, Ill. - Greenville battled with energy and resilience Tuesday evening but came up short in an 87–66 SLIAC setback to Principia. Despite a slow start, the Panthers showed steady growth throughout the contest, finishing strong in the fourth quarter by outscoring Principia 23–16.
How it Happened:
Mya Mann led Greenville with 13 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers and going 5-for-6 at the free-throw line.
Alyssa Seymour added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds off the bench, while the Panthers' depth proved to be a major strength, producing 40 bench points.
Greenville also controlled the glass, matching Principia with 46 rebounds, and generated 15 second-chance points through persistent effort.
After trailing at halftime, Greenville responded with improved shooting and defensive intensity in the second half, highlighted by a 55.6 percent shooting performance in the fourth quarter.
With continued balance, depth, and late-game momentum, the Panthers showed promise as they move forward in conference play.
