GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team battled through a challenging afternoon in an 80–47 loss to Spalding on Saturday at H.J. Long Gymnasium. Despite falling behind early, the Panthers continued to compete for all four quarters and closed the game with their best offensive stretch in the final period.

Baylie Joiner and
Maddi Basterretxea led Greenville with seven points apiece, while
Mia deJesus and
Alyssa Seymour each added six.
Cortney Brummer provided a strong presence inside, pulling down a team-high seven rebounds to help Greenville stay active on the glass. Defensively, the Panthers forced 18 turnovers and continued to pressure Spalding throughout the game.
Greenville showed noticeable improvement as the game progressed, increasing its shooting percentage each quarter and outscoring Spalding 16–15 in the fourth. With balanced bench contributions and continued effort on both ends of the floor, Greenville will look to build on these positives as they head into the heart of SLIAC play.
