GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team had a thrilling SLIAC win over MUW at home on Thursday evening. After trailing by only two at half, the Panthers battled in the third and fourth quarters, coming away with a nail-biting 68-64 victory.
How it Happened:
The Panthers came out hot with a demanding 22-9 lead after the first quarter, but MUW out shot them in the second, causing them to trail at halftime (35-33). Greenville stayed in the game with an explosive third quarter and narrowly kept the lead through the fourth.
Mia deJesus led the Panthers with another double-double, claiming 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Alyssa Seymour contributed heavily, adding 11 points and 8 rebounds.
Mya Mann orchestrated the offense with 6 assists and ten points.
