GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team battled throughout Saturday afternoon but fell 86–64 to Webster in SLIAC play at H.J. Long Gymnasium.
How it Happened:
After a challenging first half, the Panthers responded with renewed energy, closing the game strong by outscoring Webster 23–19 in the fourth quarter.
Baylie Joiner and
Trinity Wade led the Panthers with nine points apiece, while
Cortney Brummer also added nine points and six rebounds.
The Panthers shot an impressive 87 percent from the free-throw line and shared the ball effectively, recording nine assists.
While Webster used early momentum to build separation, Greenville's late push highlighted the team's depth and fight. The Panthers will look to carry that fourth-quarter energy forward as conference play continues.
