GREENVILLE, Ill. – On a special senior night at home, the Greenville men's soccer team rallied from an early deficit to claim a 4-1 victory over UHSP. Freshman William Carlson Webb was the star of the evening, netting a hat trick, while Senior Andres Garcia also contributed a key goal to secure the win.
How it Happened:
1st Half
UHSP opened the scoring in the 28th minute. Greenville quickly answered, with Webb leveling the score less than a minute later on an assist from Braulio Martinez.
Webb added another goal before halftime to put GU ahead. The Panthers kept the pressure on, testing the UHSP goalkeeper multiple times while showing strong teamwork and energy to honor their seniors.
2nd Half
The Panthers extended their lead early in the second half as Garcia found the net off a pass from Izan Gonzalez Rivera.
Webb completed his hat trick with a well-placed shot assisted by Will Malone. The Panthers controlled the rest of the match behind solid defense, securing the win and a memorable senior night celebration.
