GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Greenville women's soccer battled hard on the road but came up just short in a 2-1 loss to DePauw on Monday afternoon at Reavis Stadium.
How it Happened:
The Panthers showed resilience, keeping pressure on the Tigers throughout the match and creating multiple scoring opportunities. After falling behind in the 31st minute, Greenville responded in the second half when forward Kylie Petroski netted the equalizer in the 58th minute, capitalizing on a strong build-up to bring the game level.
DePauw regained the lead nine minutes later, but Greenville refused to back down, with
Jordyn Smith and Petroski continuing to press the DePauw back line.

Madison Ashford anchored the defense with five saves, keeping the Panthers within striking distance until the final whistle. Despite being edged in total shots 12-7, Greenville matched the Tigers in intensity.
