Women's basketball splits road conference matchups

BATESVILLE, Ark. & COLUMBUS, Miss. - Greenville women's basketball battled through a challenging two-game road stretch, showing resilience and star power despite a setback at Lyon before bouncing back with an overtime win at MUW.

How it Happened:

In Thursday's matchup at Lyon, the Panthers held even early but couldn't overcome a cold shooting night in a 74–63 defeat. Still, Greenville saw standout production from Alyssa Seymour, who dominated inside with 20 points and 13 rebounds, keeping the Panthers within reach throughout.

Cortney Brummer added 12 points, and Mya Mann contributed 10 while directing the offense. Despite shooting struggles, Greenville's energy on the glass—59 total rebounds—highlighted its effort against one of the SLIAC's top teams.

Two days later, that relentless mentality paid off. Greenville outworked MUW in an 81–70 overtime victory.

Trinity Wade erupted for 23 points off the bench, igniting the Panthers' second-half surge.

Seymour posted another double-double with 16 points and 10 boards, while Mia deJesus delivered a breakout 14-point, 17-rebound performance, controlling OT with toughness on both ends.

With improved offensive rhythm and dominant rebounding, the Panthers capped the trip with a momentum-building win—one that reflects their growing confidence heading into the heart of conference play.
