GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team asserted their dominance in a commanding 93-38 victory over the Blackburn Beavers on Saturday. The win boosted Greenville's record to 4-4 overall and 2-1 in SLIAC play. 

How it Happened:

From the outset, the Panthers established control, surging to a 24-15 lead after the first quarter. Greenville's relentless defense was on full display in the second quarter, as they held Blackburn to a mere five points while pouring in 34 of their own to build a 58-20 halftime lead.

Cortney Brummer led the charge with sixteen points on 6-of-9 shooting. Baylie Joiner recorded a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds, while Mya Mann provided a spark off the bench with twelve points.

The Panthers' defensive intensity was a defining factor, forcing thirty-one Blackburn turnovers. Their defense translated into twenty-four assists and twenty-two steals.

Greenville's roster depth was on full display, with fifteen players contributing to the scoring column. The Panthers' efficiency was reflected in their 47.4% shooting from the field, significantly outpacing Blackburn's 25.5% shooting performance.
