GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's soccer team cut Principia's lead to 2-1 late in the game but allowed Principia to push across a goal shortly thereafter as they fell 3-1 on Saturday.
Principia took a 1-0 lead to halftime and got a goal in the 64th minute before Breanna Thomas provided a goal in the 75th minute. Dani Pearce assisted on Thomas' goal.
Principia outshot Greenville by an 8-6 margin. Greenville goalkeeper Hope Brakenhoff posted four saves.
The Lady Panthers (4-6-1, 0-2 SLIAC) host Oakland City on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
