GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's soccer team battled NCAA Division II Oakland City on Wednesday night and gave up a header off a corner kick to fall short 1-0 in overtime.
The Lady Panthers managed to put together a number of scoring chances but were short 14-9 in shots.
Lourdes Machado got the start in goal for Greenville and stopped three shots for saves.
Dani Pearce gave Greenville five shots, including four on goal.
The Lady Panthers (4-7-1) go to Fontbonne for a match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
