GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Greenville men's tennis team continued its strong spring season with a come-from-behind 5-2 victory over St. Olaf on Monday. After dropping the doubles point, the Panthers responded by winning five of six singles matches to secure the win.
How It Happened:
Greenville competed well in doubles play, highlighted by a 6-4 win at No. 3 from
Noah Garcia Barlagne and
Kai Gustafson. However, losses at No. 1 and No. 2 gave St. Olaf an early 1-0 advantage heading into singles.
The Panthers quickly shifted momentum in singles action. Sophomore
Colton Hulme set the tone with a 7-5, 6-2 victory at No. 2, while
Jade Dynamic followed with a strong 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3. Freshman
Patrick Nobbe added another point at No. 5, battling to a 6-1, 7-5 win.
Greenville sealed the match with straight-set victories at No. 4 and No. 6, completing the comeback and securing the 5-2 team win.
