Baseball opens spring break trip with dominant 13-3 win over Mt. St. Mary

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Baseball delivered an explosive offensive performance Tuesday afternoon, defeating Mount St. Mary's (N.Y.) 13–3 in the opening game of their spring break trip.

How it Happened:

The Panthers broke the game open in the third inning, plating eight runs to seize control early. Greenville capitalized on aggressive baserunning and Mount St. Mary's miscues while delivering timely hits. Greenville continued to apply pressure in the fourth and fifth innings. Landyn Smith scored on a wild pitch in the fourth before the Panthers added two more runs in the fifth. Smith later delivered an RBI single to extend the advantage to 11–2.

On the mound, Cade Buehnerkemper turned in a strong outing to earn the win. The right-hander tossed six innings, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out five and keeping the Mount St. Mary's offense in check. Ty Kueper added a scoreless inning of relief with three strikeouts.
