ELSAH, Ill. -Â Greenville battled through a wild road test Tuesday night and came away with a gritty 110-109 overtime win over Principia.
How it Happened:
The Panthers overcame a six-point halftime deficit after Principia shot over 51% in the opening half. Greenville responded with a stronger second-half push, tying the game late and forcing overtime in a back-and-forth contest that featured 12 ties and 12 lead changes.
Greenville's depth proved decisive, as the Panthers piled up 53 bench points and dominated the glass with a 64-54 rebounding edge.
Tahj Comeaux delivered a huge spark off the bench with a double-double (15 points and 12 rebounds), while
Elliot Mobley added 16 points, seven boards, and four steals.
Tim Lofton chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds, and
Joseph Schreiber-Rivera scored 12.
Greenville made key plays in overtime to secure the one-point victory.
