EUREKA, Ill. - The men's basketball team delivered an offensive showcase in a dramatic 130–125 setback to Eureka on Monday night, battling toe-to-toe in a high-scoring SLIAC game. The Panthers matched Eureka punch for punch early, ending a blistering first half tied 64–64 after multiple lead changes and fast-paced play.
How it Happened:
Greenville's depth and relentless energy stood out, as the Panthers piled up 44 bench points, 35 second-chance points, and 33 fast-break points.
Joshua Williford led all Panthers with 25 points, while
Elijah Goad added 21, knocking down five three-pointers.
Tim Lofton dominated the glass with 10 rebounds to go along with 20 points, and
Elliot Mobley chipped in 13 points and eight assists.
Despite Eureka's hot shooting, Greenville stayed aggressive to the final buzzer, forcing 21 steals and generating 41 points off turnovers.
