GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over visiting Wheaton (Ill.) on Tuesday night at Francis Field, fueled by a late second-half goal from
Izan Gonzalez Rivera. With the match tied 1-1 deep into the second half, Gonzalez Rivera capitalized on a precise assist from
Juan Fernandez and
William Carlson Webb in the 85th minute, sending the home crowd into celebration.

Greenville opened the scoring early in the 10th minute, when
Richard Kerwer found the back of the net thanks to a clever setup by
David Vicente.
Wheaton responded just before halftime with a goal from Luke Vander Kolk, leveling the match at the break.
