MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The men's tennis team clinched its berth to the NCAA Tournament after winning the UMAC Championships! They defeated Northwestern 4-0 in the semifinals before taking down Principia 4-2 in the championship.
How it Happened:
Match 1:
Greenville dominated Northwestern with a 4–0 sweep.
After securing the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3, Greenville continued its momentum in singles.
Colton Hulme, Jean Sanabria, and Clark Kent each notched straight-set victories at No. 3 through No. 5 singles, clinching the match.
With the overall result decided, matches at the top singles spots were left unfinished. Greenville advanced to the championship confidently.
Match 2:
The Panthers edged Principia 4-2 on Saturday morning in the championship in a tightly contested match.
Greenville claimed the doubles point with convincing wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
In singles, Principia responded with strong performances at the No. 2 and 3 spots. However, Greenville clinched the match with victories from Andres Sanchez, Clark Kent, and Jade Dynamic, sealing the championship title!
