MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The women's tennis season came to an end in their UMAC Championship match against Wis.-Superior. After beating Northwestern in the semifinals, the Panthers unfortunately dropped the championship match 4-1.
How it Happened:
Although Greenville won the doubles point, the Panthers lost four singles matches to take the defeat.
Irlanda Oliver and Emily Kowalke won the number one doubles match 6-2, while Addison Brannon and Lanie Carder won the No. two doubles 6-3.
The Panthers dropped singles matches one, four, five, and six. The number two and three matches went unfinished since Northwestern clinched it in four.
Oliver and Lily Gregory both fought hard in their matches. Oliver managed to win a total of seven games, while Gregory took her second set to 7-5.
