TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The men's track and field team took third place at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet, collecting 98 points with multiple podium finishes.
How it Happened:
The Panthers dominated the 200m dash, taking four podium spots. Jordan Peternel placed second (21.87s) with Cory Stoll (21.90s) and Chase LaTouche (21.96s) close behind at third and fourth. James McMinns came in seventh with his 22.11s dash.
McMinns also did well in the 400m, placing second with a 49.60s run.
Peternel placed high in the long jump as well, taking second with a 6.77m jump. Gabe Todd was right behind him in third place (6.63m).
The 4x100 team showed up, showcasing a second-place finish (41.78s). Keenon Johnikin also finished second in the high jump with his 1.80m leap.
In the 1500m run, Joe Gomez finished third, running a 4:01.16, while Gianni Estrada took seventh with a 4:04.15,
Mason Clayton did well in the 3000m steeplechase, ending in third place with his 10:47.23, and Braylon Overton finished fifth (11:52.66).
The Panthers also saw two fourth-place finishes from Johnikin and Eric Mitchell. Johnikin placed fourth in the triple jump (13.31m) while Mitchell finished fourth in the shot put (13.95m).
Lastly, Dylan Collins finished high in the javelin, throwing 40.93m for fifth place.
