Game Recap: Women's Track and Field |

Women's track and field has 11 top-three performances

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's track and field team picked up eleven top-three performances at their home meet on Saturday, collecting two event titles and several second- and third-place finishes. Talahiva Talanoa led the Panthers with her two gold finishes and one second-place spot.

How it Happened:

Talanoa threw for 43.20m in discus and 54.40m in the hammer to take first, while posting a 13.47m in shot put for second. 

In the pole vault, Kenzie Kurdys took second with her 3.70m showing, and Jazmyn Harmon took second in the triple jump (11.20m).

Ella Ray, TyKiaza Jones, and the 4x100 all picked up second-place finishes in their events as well. Ray posted a 46.30m in the hammer, while Jones ran a 14.41s in the 100m hurdles. The 4x100 team ran a collective 47.58s to take second.

To take third, Anna Beth Vancil cleared 1.58m in the high jump, and Kurdys ran a 15.19s in the 100m hurdles. Alivia Clayton ran a 20:13.69 in the 5k to take third. 

Lastly, the Panthers saw three fourth-place finishes from Madison Kacevicius, Grace Waldrop, and Gretchen Carie. Kacevicius had a 10.10m mark in the triple jump, while Waldrop had a 29.82m javelin throw. Carie ran an 11:18.36 in the 3000m steeplechase.
