ELSAH, Ill. - Despite some great efforts, the women's basketball team dropped both of their conference games against Westminster and Principia. The Panthers lost 89-81 to the Blue Jays and 66-54 to Principia.

How it Happened:

Game 1 vs. Westminster 

The Panthers went into halftime tied at 44 but struggled to overcome a third-quarter surge by Westminster, getting outscored 26-17.

Carolina Hoffman led Greenville with nineteen points, hitting five three-pointers, while Savana Powell-Goodman added seventeen.

Alyssa Seymour contributed fourteen points and six rebounds.

The Panthers battled on the boards, outrebounding Westminster 43-37, and also forced 21 turnovers. 

Game 2 vs. Principia

Despite a slow start, Greenville fought hard, outscoring Principia 17-13 in the third quarter to narrow the gap. However,  Principia pulled away in the fourth, securing the victory.

Seymour led the way with a double-double, posting fourteen points and eleven rebounds.

Powell-Goodman added thirteen points, while Cortney Brummer contributed nine points and ten rebounds.

On the defensive end, Greenville forced twenty turnovers, including ten steals, but had difficulty capitalizing on those opportunities.
