ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The women's bowling team competed in their first meet in school history this past weekend, traveling to Lindenwood to bowl in the 17th annual Lions Classic. Short a bowler because of injury, the Panthers struggled to find their groove, finishing 7th out of seven teams.
How it Happened:
Freshman
Grace Mowell led the way for the Panthers finishing in 31st out of 63 individuals. Mowell averaged 150 for day one and had a high game of 154.
Dalila Hernandez posted a 340 series,
Ru Fuller posted a 292 series, and
Sernaya McGee posted a 270 series.
Going into day two, the Panthers were the seven-seed and faced Missouri Baptist for the first match of bracket play. Greenville battled against the Spartans in the best-of-three match, but they came up just short, losing with scores of 96-157 and 85-210.
The Panthers moved into the losers bracket and faced off against Cottey College. Greenville gave themselves a chance in game one, but dropped it 85-124, and followed it with an 82-143 loss in game two.
