LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Panthers traveled to Indiana to compete in the Boilermaker Classic and the Boilermaker Baker Classic this weekend. On Saturday, they bowled five team games and bowled 25 baker games on Sunday.
How it Happened:
The Panther finished 8th of 8 on Saturday. Freshman
Dalila Hernandez led the way for Greenville with a series of 626 finishing 35th out of 62.
Ru Fuller followed closely behind Dalila with a series of 625, while
Grace Mowell had a 591 series and
Sernaya McGee rounded out the team with a 491 series.
Going into Sunday, the standings were reset and the Panthers had a chance to compete for first. Greenville had a slow start but managed to finish with a 2296 series over the 25 baker games, placing eighth.Â
"The ladies once again are short handed with only four, but they continue to show me that they can compete and won't give up when the times get hard throughout the weekend," says Coach Kunz. "We just couldn't string anything together, whether that be strikes or spares, slowing our scoring pace. Now we prepare for the next tournament after Christmas Break."
