GREENVILLE, Ill. — Greenville volleyball delivered a commanding performance on Saturday, sweeping both Lyon and Blackburn in straight sets during a SLIAC tri-match at home. The Panthers improved to 19-10 overall and 11-1 in conference play.
How it Happened:
In the morning match, Greenville cruised past Lyon (25-18, 25-11, 25-15), fueled by
Kennedy Legendre's .714 hitting percentage with ten kills and
Elaina Evers' .563 clip and ten kills.
Setter
Emma Ratermann ran the offense flawlessly with 38 assists, while
Lainey Hicks added six kills and six block assists as Greenville hit an impressive .409 as a team.
The Panthers carried that momentum into the afternoon, defeating Blackburn (26-24, 25-14, 25-18).
Abby Grohmann led the attack with fifteen kills, Evers followed with twelve, and Ratermann tallied another 39 assists.
The defense stood strong behind
Claudia Bonacorsi's sixteen digs and a balanced front-line block.
With the sweep, Greenville extended its conference win streak and showcased the depth and efficiency that make them a championship contender heading into the final stretch of the season.
